1) General

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") apply to your use of BARE Fitness Manila studio, website, app, and services in the Republic of the Philippines ("BARE", "we", "our", or "us"). By purchasing or using any BARE service, membership, or class, you agree to these Terms and to follow our Club Rules.

BARE Fitness Manila operates in the Republic of the Philippines. We may update these Terms from time to time; any changes will be posted here. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated Terms.

All prices include applicable Philippine taxes, including VAT if and when applicable.

2) Limited Liability & Health Waiver

Acknowledgement of Risk. Our workouts are designed to challenge and inspire you. Like all physical activity, exercise carries some inherent risks, such as muscle soreness, strain, or injury or illness. By taking part in any BARE class, event, or activity, inside or outside our facilities, you confirm that you understand and accept these normal risks as part of participating in training.

Personal Responsibility. You take full responsibility for your own health and fitness to exercise. You understand that BARE coaches are not medical professionals and that any information or guidance provided is for general fitness purposes only. You have chosen to take part voluntarily and will listen to your body, rest when needed, and let the team know if you experience discomfort.

Waiver & Release under Philippine Law. To the fullest extent permitted by the Civil Code of the Philippines, you voluntarily release and hold harmless BARE Fitness Manila, its owners, trainers, and staff from any claims or liability that may arise from your participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct, which cannot be waived under Philippine law.

Prohibited Participation (Safety First). Participation is strictly prohibited if you are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, illegal drugs, or medication that may impair your ability to exercise safely, including tranquilizers, beta blockers, antihistamines, sedatives, or anticoagulants. If you have any medical concerns, consult a qualified doctor before attending classes.

How You Agree. By purchasing, booking, or attending BARE services, you agree to this waiver. We may also ask you to sign a separate copy, physically or electronically, for our records.

3) Class Bookings & Cancellations

  • All classes must be pre booked using our website, app, or front desk.
  • Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 12 hours before start time via our online system.
  • Late cancellations or no shows will result in a forfeited class credit or a flat fee for members.
  • Arrive at least 10 minutes early.
  • Entry closes at class start time; if you arrive late, you may still join after the current workout section has ended. Please wait quietly until a team member confirms it is safe to enter.
  • You must be physically checked in at least 2 minutes before class, or your space may be given to a waitlisted client.
  • Class spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Waitlist enrolment is automatic; if a spot opens, you will be added and notified.
  • Class timetables, instructors, and formats may change without notice.
  • BARE is not responsible for missed classes due to parking availability, traffic delays, severe weather, or other transport issues.

If you are recovering from an injury or illness, inform your instructor before class begins.

4) Membership Terms

  • Memberships are personal, non transferable, and non refundable, except where required by the Philippine Consumer Act or other applicable Philippine law.
  • Unless otherwise stated, memberships auto renew monthly until cancelled.
  • To cancel, email info@bare.ph at least one Philippine working day before your next billing date.
  • Failure to cancel before renewal means your next payment will be processed automatically.
  • Membership fees must be paid via a valid payment method such as credit or debit card or other accepted local online payment gateway.
  • Not using the facility does not pause or eliminate your payment obligation.
  • We may adjust membership prices with 30 days written notice.
  • Memberships may be frozen for 2 weeks to 2 months by emailing info@bare.ph at least one week before the requested freeze start date, up to a maximum of two freezes per calendar year.
  • We may suspend or terminate a membership immediately if you breach these Terms or our Club Rules, or if required by law or regulations.

5) Class Packs

  • Class packs and credits are non transferable and non refundable, except where legally required under the Philippine Consumer Act or other applicable law.
  • Each pack displays its expiry date at purchase; unused credits after expiry are forfeited.
  • Class packs do not guarantee space in a specific class.
  • Waitlist and booking rules apply equally to all users.

6) Temporary Closures & Schedule Changes

We reserve the right to modify timetables, instructors, or class types without notice. If BARE temporarily closes due to maintenance, public holidays, government regulations, or circumstances beyond our control, we will provide extensions or credits for affected memberships or class packs, but no cash refunds, except where required by Philippine law.

7) Conduct & Behaviour

We want BARE to remain a safe, positive environment for all. You must:

  • Behave respectfully toward all clients and staff.
  • Not engage in harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.
  • Follow all safety instructions and staff guidance.
  • Keep phones silent and do not use them during class.
  • Wear clean, suitable workout attire and footwear.

We may refuse entry, suspend, or terminate your membership if your behaviour endangers others, damages property, or seriously disrupts the studio. Refunds are not provided in such cases, except where required by law.

Complaints should be sent privately to info@bare.ph or discussed with a manager on site.

8) Photography & Media

  • BARE may occasionally capture photos or videos in the studio for promotional use, including social media and advertising.
  • By attending classes, you consent to incidental inclusion in such content.
  • If you do not wish to appear in any images or videos, notify a staff member during the same visit, and we will use reasonable efforts to ensure the content is not used or is removed where you are clearly identifiable.
  • Clients may take personal photos or short videos before or after class but must not record others without their consent or disrupt sessions.

9) Hygiene & Safety

  • Please attend classes showered and in clean workout clothing.
  • BARE reserves the right to address hygiene issues that affect others comfort and to refuse participation if necessary.
  • Participation is at your own risk; consult a doctor before starting any new exercise program or if you have any medical condition.
  • BARE is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or damages sustained during or after training, unless caused by proven gross negligence or willful misconduct by BARE or its staff.

10) Lockers & Personal Belongings

  • Lockers are available while you are on the premises and subject to availability.
  • BARE is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to your personal property.
  • Clear your locker after each visit.
  • Unclaimed items will be held at reception for 30 days, after which they may be donated or disposed of without notice or compensation.

11) Children & Minors

  • Children aged 13 to 15 may train only if accompanied by a registered parent or legal guardian who is also participating.
  • Children under 13 are not permitted to use the facility or participate in regular classes.

12) Refunds & Force Majeure

Payments are non refundable, except:

  • Where required by Philippine consumer law, including the Philippine Consumer Act (Republic Act No. 7394), or
  • If BARE cannot deliver services due to force majeure events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

In such cases, we may offer credits or extensions instead of cash refunds, unless a cash refund is specifically required by law.

13) Liability

You understand that exercise involves inherent risks. By participating, you waive any claim against BARE Fitness Manila, its staff, or instructors for injury, illness, loss, or damage unless caused by our proven gross negligence or willful misconduct, which cannot be waived under Philippine law. BARE total liability, if any, will be limited to the value of the affected membership or class pack.
